Want to jazz up your Twitter images?
Now you can, with Twitter image tools, right in the Twitter mobile app.
While not the most robust image editing around, these tools let you crop, enhance, and add fun filters to your image. PLUS – an excellent tool for online marketers – the Twitter app will prompt you to tag people in photos. Great for networking!
New Twitter Image Filters
When composing a tweet in the Twitter app, you can crop, enhance, and add fun filters to your image. Filters include black & white, plus 7 other filters, a la Instagram.
New Twitter Image Collages
Another new trick is that you can tweet up to 4 images at a time! And while a single image will add about 23 characters to your tweet, reducing your text space to 110-ish characters, the added photos won’t cost you one extra character.
Simply check off multiple photos, and Twitter will create a collage for you.
New Twitter Image Tagging
Last but definitely not least, the Twitter app will prompt you to tag people in photos, like Facebook does.
When you tag someone, Twitter displays their full name (not their Twitter handle) next to the tweet’s timestamp. Clicking on their name will take you to their profile, but tagging won’t use up ANY of your 140 characters. You can tag up to 10 people in a single image and still have 110+ characters for your message. Neat, huh?
Three new Twitter image tools: filters, collages, and tagging. And only in the mobile app.
Which do you think you’ll use? Any Twitter image tools on your wish list?
